Portugal want to be the best

Queiroz: Portugal want to be the best
Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz believes his team are determined to prove themselves to be the best in the world.

A goal from Danny and two from Hugo Almeida gave Portugal a 3-0 win over Mozambique, on the day they were dealt a blow when winger Nani was ruled out of the tournament because of damage to his collar bone.

"It was good to play a game with intensity and to see that all players are well prepared and determined to represent the best side in the world," Queiroz said on fpf.pt. "It was a beautiful game with goals, and important for all the players who might play."

Portugal open their campaign in Group G, the so-called group of death, against Côte d'Ivoire on Tuesday, before facing Korea DPR and Brazil.
